Another Success in the Field of Private Conversion in Israel, This Time in the Supreme Court:
Virgie arrived in Israel about 15 years ago as a caregiver and also had a relationship with an Israeli citizen. She fell in love with Judaism, studied for conversion diligently, and converted to Orthodox Judaism in Bnei Brak, Israel, without even knowing that it could entitle her to Israeli citizenship under the Law of Return.
However, the Ministry of the Interior made countless difficulties for her and we went to the Supreme Court with her to fight for the recognition of her conversion.
In the Supreme Court, we were able to show the judges that the Ministry of the Interior ignored important evidence and made an unfounded decision, and as a result, we were able to keep Virgie’s ID card and also force the Ministry of the Interior to re-examine the case this time properly!
As always, we fight for our clients in every way and do not give up on any instance to succeed. The case was led by Adv. Chen Weiss.
